FAMILY FUNDRAISING POLICY

Applicable to: High Performance Senior Nova Tech Senior Age Group Junior Nova Tech Junior Age Group

Fundraising helps keep our swim fees affordable. Registration fees alone do not cover the club's full operating expenses, so fundraising helps bridge the gap and allows us to keep fees as low as possible.

The Fundraising Commitment:

  • There will be 5 fundraisers throughout the season

  • Each family is expected to generate at least $50 in NET PROFIT per fundraiser.

  • Families who exceed the $50 minimum can earn a credit towards their swim fees; for every $1 of net profit above the $50, you receive $0.75 in swim fee credit

  • To qualify for the credit, the $50 minimum must be met at each of the 5 fundraisers.

  • Credits may only be used towards training fees. (not applicable towards meet fees & clothing purchases)

Please note: The requirement and credits are based on NET PROFIT, not total sales. For example, if your family generates $100 in net profit at one fundraiser, the first $50 meets the requirement and the additional $50 earns a $37.50 swim fee credit.

Prefer Not to Fundraise?

Families may buy out of the fundraising commitment for $250 by selecting the Fundraising Buyout option upon registration. A buyout does not qualify for any swim fee credits.

Where does Fundraising Money Go?

Besides helping bridge the gap with operational expenses, your fundraising efforts directly benefit our swimmers! Last season, fundraising and grants helped fund some meet fees,  year-end banquet prizes and t-shirts, 32 sets of swim fins, a digital clock and 6 backstroke wedges.

Thank you for helping make our swim club strong and affordable for everyone!

I understand that the Cape Breton Dorados Swim Team have a Fundraising Policy that requires each Family to commit to Fundraising for the swim team with two (2) options available. I agree that my Family will adhere to this policy and option, as indicated below.
